Feast your eyes on Bambi—a 1994 Chevrolet Carpenter converted school bus. Bambi spent the majority of her life shuttling church goers throughout Northern California. It wasn’t until 2017 when she began her refit as a traveling land vessel. The previous owners completely gutted the bus and did the vast majority of the interior rebuild themselves.

Purchasing a bus that had already been converted was the sensible option given our lack of available free time. We will continue to customize and improve our home on wheels. Currently a rooftop deck, motorcycle rack, jeep tow package and solar panels are in the works. The goal is to make the bus 100% self sufficient and off-the-grid capable for the primitive camping plans we have in the future.
